2015 Spring Conference

“People, Process & Performance in 2015”

Mark your calendars and save the date for the OASPA-OAEE Spring conference on Friday, February 20, 2015. The one-day conference will commence with an ODE Update and move into a point/counterpoint panel discussion on OTES. The panel will comprise Bill Deters from Ennis, Roberts & Fischer and Katie Boerger from the Ohio Education Association.

The afternoon will feature three OASPA members, Kathy Burnett, Michelle Means-Walker and Aura Norris discussing Alternative Compensation Models. The conference will conclude with the Office of Professional Conduct presenting information regarding its process of investigation and sharing some relevant case studies.

Of course there will be the opportunity to share and network with your HR colleagues.

Registration information will be available in early January.

OASPA/OAEE Works for You

During these tumultuous times, many of us are grappling with issues such as how to continue to provide the quality of services while operating on a shoestring budget. Your membership will enhance your access to the resources and networks necessary to thrive today. Our organizations bring together career services professionals from institutions with teacher preparation programs and personnel administrators from school districts throughout the state who work together cooperatively to bring about increased quality and diversity within the school systems.

OASPA Offers SUCCEED
OASPA has partnered with McGrath Training Systems to offer SUCCEED to Ohio school districts.
McGrath SUCCEED is a performance management system with practical tools for the day-to-day challenges of administrative (certificated or classified) leadership - especially those which require verbal and written communication that impacts performance.
The two-day immersion course includes a step-by-step process for producing results with a user-friendly online tool which guides participants in clarifying thinking and helping them to prepare effective spoken and written communications.
For more information click on McGrath SUCCEED in the above menu bar or visit the McGrath website.
If you have any questions or wish to schedule training in your district, contact Michael Rarick at (937) 320-1843 or at oaspa.exec.dir@gmail.com
