2020 OASPA Fall Conference
OASPA currently  plans to offer a two-day, in-person conference on Thursday & Friday, September 24 & 25. In today’s reality, of course, this could change. OASPA will closely monitor state and local guidelines as the conference date draws nearer. We will also communicate regularly with the hotel and pass on any information which will let you know what this conference will look like.
Today’s busy professionals are often at their max. The demands of work, home, and (maybe?) a social life can leave them feeling stressed and perpetually stretched thin. In our keynote presentation, The Power of Less: Simplicity for Professionals, Rose Lounsbury--simplicity coach, TEDx speaker, and author of the Amazon bestselling Less: Minimalism for Real—will show us busy professionals how simplicity, the age-old philosophy that less is more, can help them reduce stress, improve work-life balance, and create more open spaces in all areas of our lives.

Some Key takeaways:
  • How to use Rose's 4-step LESS Method™ to simplify any space
  • Where to start simplifying, even if you feel totally overwhelmed
  • How to get reluctant family members and co-workers on board
Debra Saffo, president of The NiKhar Group, will discuss how to integrate diversity into all areas of the school district.
ODE will be on hand to give us the latest and the first day concludes with a Legal Update with Jeremy Neff and Hollie Reedy from Ennis Britton and a presentation of awards and cocktail reception.
Dr. Kevin Miller, BASA’s Director of Governmental Relations, will start us off on the second day with a Legislative Update.
After the OASPA Business Meeting, we will hear from Eric Johnson from Walter I Haverfield. He will provide us with more legal information.
The day will conclude with a panel discussion of how we deal with today’s reality.
After the final wrap up, there will be drawings for gift cards.
